Yahoo denies any contact with Iranian officials
Richard Koman reported on ZDNet how allegedly Yahoo sold out the names of Iranian bloggers to the Iranian government for exchange of lifting the block. If this is true, what kind of message does this send? Don't trust American companies, they will sell you for the right price? Don't take it personally, it's business?
ADDED 12.10.2009: Yahoo denies any contact with Iranian officials and ZDNet "must consider this report unreliable." Here's a quote from the editor (available on the above link):
Oct. 9, 9:18 am PST — Ed note from Larry Dignan: I’m ending this back and forth now. This story, which derived from a blog post in Iran, has turned into a he said-Yahoo said go-round. Yahoo has denied the charges that it has turned over names to Iran and called the allegations completely false. Short of second and third sourcing, ZDNet must consider this report unreliable.
